- 4 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- Toss sliced apples with ½ cup brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
- In a bowl, mix oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, and melted butter until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup for topping.
- Press the oat mixture into the bottom of the baking pan. Layer the apple mixture on top and sprinkle with reserved oats.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Cool before slicing into squares.
