- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Combine sautéed garlic, chicken, and half of the marinara sauce in a large bowl; mix well.
- Layer half of the chicken mixture in the prepared dish. Top with half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the remaining marinara sauce. Repeat layering until ingredients are used up.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning over the top layer. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve hot with extra marinara sauce for drizzling.
