- 4 cups chicken broth

- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Toast the dried ancho chiles in a skillet over medium heat until fragrant (about 2 minutes).
- Blend toasted chiles with garlic, onion, cumin, tomato paste, and chicken broth until smooth.
- Brown seasoned beef chuck roast in oil over medium-high heat until browned on all sides (about 5 minutes per batch).
