These soft, fluffy rolls are packed with a buttery filling and drizzled with a sweet glaze, making them perfect for creating cherished family memories during the holiday season. Easy to prepare, they promise comfort and joy on Christmas morning or any cozy brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk with sugar and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt; create a well in the center. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs; mix until combined. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  4. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle (½ inch thick). Spread melted butter on top, then sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar.
  5. Roll tightly from one edge into a log shape; slice into 12 equal pieces. Place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Let rolls rise again for about 30 minutes while the oven heats up. Bake until golden brown (approximately 30 minutes).
  7. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with vanilla extract and water until smooth; drizzle over warm rolls.
