  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon (plus extra for swirling)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, vegetable oil, and eggs until well combined.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix additional sugar and cinnamon for the swirl. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top, add remaining batter, and finish with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar swirl.
  6. Use a knife to gently create swirls through the batter without overmixing.
  7. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
