- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For the Glaze: 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3–4 tbsp milk or cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients and stir gently.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Add remaining batter and top with leftover cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Whisk powdered sugar with milk or cream for the glaze and drizzle over the cooled cake.
