  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the Glaze: 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 34 tbsp milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients and stir gently.
  4. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Add remaining batter and top with leftover cinnamon sugar.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  6. Whisk powdered sugar with milk or cream for the glaze and drizzle over the cooled cake.
